Goddess Theory Fitness is a specifically tailored exercise program designed for the postpartum body. It gives new mothers a chance to work out with a trainer, be in a group environment that is sympathetic to the challenges of being a new mother, and meet other moms in the area.
The primary instructor is a doctor of chiropractic specialized in prenatal and postpartum care. She is also a personal trainer specialized in postpartum fitness, a birth doula, and a mom. The goals of this class are to encourage mothers to workout without worrying about a babysitter, heal their postpartum body, increase their comfort levels about postpartum fitness, and connect through a community of like-minded women.
All fitness levels are encouraged to attend, as the workouts will be tailored to the needs of each mom. We focus on breathing, core activation patterns, and interval training with modifications catering to the postpartum body. The interval training will include body weight movements and ballistic movements, with progression to weights.
